Scope of Work, Phase I- LA ProPoint performed all of the design, engineering, and rigging for the B-17E, B-25J Mitchell, SBD-3 Dauntless, TBM Avenger, P-51D Mustang and the Corsair F4U-4 for the new pavilion. One of the largest museums to commemorate the events and sacrifices of World War Two, the National WWII Museum opened the new pavilion in January as it completes a sprawling $325 million campus of six buildings, which extends along three square blocks near the Pontchartrain Expressway. LA ProPoint delivered the engineering, design and installation services that made the rigging of the aircraft inside the pavilion possible. U.S. Freedom Pavilion honors U.S. fighting forces with a seven-story atrium and dramatic placement of warplanes, with catwalks that allow visitors to get at eye-level with the impressive machines and touch screens to explore the cockpits and controls.
