was started in 2002, by Mark Riddlesperger, to offer a wide range
of technical skills and fabrication services with a primary focus
on safety, quality and service. Mark started his career in 1980 in a variety of entertainment industries. He holds an MFA degree in
technical theatre and has working experience in scenery construction,
welding and fabrication, lighting systems design and installation,
as well as show systems and show control for theatres, theme parks,
trade shows, film and television. As owner of LA ProPoint, Mark has
assembled an experienced team of individuals with a variety of skill
sets.
In 2005, Mark made the decision to take on a business partner
to help manage the growth of this young company. Jim Hartman joined
the group as a managing partner, responsible for the day to day business
activity of the company. This allowed Mark to step away from his
desk to oversee the work in the shop and the field. Jim started his career in 1990 in finance, accounting, contracts and marketing, and
holds an MBA and a BS in business management. Mark and Jim started working together in 1995 at Universal Studios, working on a variety of projects for what was
then their Planning and Development department.
